What is Atacand and how is it used?
Atacand is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of high blood pressure (Hypertensio). Atacand may be used alone or with other medications.
Atacand belongs to a class of drugs called ARB/HCTZ Combos.
It is not known if Atacand is safe and effective in children.
What are the possible side effects of Atacand?
Atacand may cause serious side effects including:
lightheadedness,
fast or slow heartbeats,
unusual muscle pain or weakness,
nausea,
weakness,
tingly feeling,
chest pain,
irregular heartbeats,
loss of movements,
little or no urination,
swelling in your feet or ankles,
feeling tired, and
shortness of breath
Get medical help right away, if you have any of the symptoms listed above.
The most common side effects of Atacand include:
headache,
back pain,
dizziness, and
cold symptoms (stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat)
